Space borne earth observation
 Image of the coast of Dubai (note the palm tree islands), taken from space with linear InGaAs arrays (900-1700nm). In order to realize an array of 1500 pixels, three linear InGaAs arrays (XLIN 1.7 512) have been optically butted in the image plane of the instrument. The transition points between the three arrays are slightly visible. Ground pixel resolution is 39 m x 46 m.
