The first step in any design process is for us to understand the customer’s application and its requirements. XenICs people will sit together with the customer and will translate system requirements into component requirements that will guide the design efforts. From initial discussions, the feasibility and the target performance of any design project will be formulated. As soon as target specifications are clear for all parties, the design can start. The full design process typically includes preliminary and critical design reviews with the customer, to ensure project success. During the design process and depending on the actual content of the project, XenICs will make opto-mechanical drawings, detector mask design files, PCB or ROIC schematics, perform detailed analog and digital simulations, produces physical layout, and verifies the layout against the schematic. In case of a ROIC design a layout database is then prepared for foundry processing.

Foundry selection
XenICs has extensive experience with silicon and assembly foundry management as well as with subcontracting of mechanics and PCB manufacturing. We have close working relationships with major foundries and systems houses and will select the appropriate solution for your application and ultimate production needs. We also will oversee the fabrication process through completed products.

Design Verification
XenICs will characterize performance of the new product in our test facility, verifying that specified performance parameters meet or exceed the custom requirements. A complete characterization test report is generated detailing all system performance parameters.

Production Support
Once a design project is finalized, XenICs will move the design into production phase and delivery of products will be scheduled according the customer’s needs. Test reports will be delivered for each product as agreed with the customer during the definition of the design phase.
